While studying in university or college?

I listen to music. It also helps me if people around me are focused and I don't have my computer around to distract me (like it's doing right now). You just have to find a groove in which you can get a lot done. Although I wouldn't recommend it, doing stuff at the last minute helps me to get it done faster, but it's probably not the best strategy.

Tell your self to study over and over in your mind. Getting away from the crowd works but then the little things distract you like what song to study to, you spend three minutes for a song that lasts five. Then you start to daydream, I have to pinch myself or snap a rubber band on my wrist when I can't stay focused. But then again I am a huge geek.....

I had to have a place to study away from distractions.

Not sure if workign fast is as important as learning the material.

In the end you have to do what it takes to learn the stuff.
