Keep yourself outdoors in the fresh air as much as possible in the daytime, and do a lot of walking or other exercise.

Use lavender scented soap, shampoo, candles, air freshener, etc. This is very relaxing, and may help you to fall asleep sooner. Also, drink a cup of Chamomile Tea about 1/2 to 1 hour before you want to sleep.

I don't know if you are old enough to use the supplement Melatonin--ask your parents to check it out to see if you can use it. It helps people to sleep--but I'm not sure that people under 18 can use it successfully.

Something that can often help is doing something very orderly before you go to bed. Also imagining something very organized can help calm you down and get you to sleep. Try to establish a constant routine at night, this will help you get to sleep. There are other ways to calm the body down and make it easier to sleep. Try looking up self hypnosis, the process for self hypnosis really helps calm the mind down and slow you down enough to get to sleep.

Good luck

This works for me. Draw. Yes, draw. In your mind, picture something like a cat and imagine a pencil on a canvas. Now, in your mind, draw the cat on the canvas with the pencil. For me, it relaxes my mind and also seems to get my mind into a visualizing state so I can start dreaming.

Good luck.

I think you should try and get an earlier bedtime. But if your father has the same trouble then you may want to talk to your doctor and he can perscribe you something.

I'm a nurse. Tylenol or ibuprofen would work. Take it only when you are not able to sleep. I would try some warm milk, it works.
