Cellphone letters? Help?

Question

Ok, how do i call someone that has like an b or a z in their phone number.
You know like 2=abc,3=def,4=ghi, etc.
How do i do that????

Press whatever number corresponds to the letter. You do not need to press it more than once.

If it has a B press 2 once if it has a Z press 8 once.

The hell? a b or a z in their number? That's impossible unless the number is like this:
1-800-FOR-SONY (1-800-367-7669)
B would be 2, and Z would be 9.
