Platoon...Oliver Stone's use of the two sargeants, Barnes and Elias to represent not only the duality of human nature but also the two opposing sides that war usually produces (hawks and doves). And stuck in the middle is the innocennce of a young man that wanted to make a difference and change the world...genius. BARNES!!

Kingdom of Heaven was a war movie, but it was a war of religions. It's a little bloody but really good. I swear this movie changed my opinion on religion.

Saving Private Ryan was very good, and the opening sequence really did a great job of conveying what was happening that day - very powerful.
Braveheart is also excellent, and fairly accurate history wise.
