can i just say i do not intend doing this! i have an argument with a friend who says you can put a say linksys or 3com usb bit onto a home pc the type that come with wireless modem/routers he says that you can pick up a wireless network from 100s metres away??!v winner gets a fiver!

maybe one hundred meters, but beyond that it is very unlikely. And even if you see a routers signal from 200 meters away, the signal streangth will probably be so low that the connection would be no better then dialup, with alot of connection dropping.

yes the length of the wire max will be 100 meters, if you need long
wire then u can set U a active HUB, it will strengthen your signal
