I think its good to allow anyone the chance to succeed as a singer I support it wholeheartedly. It can be quite funny to watch the characters that exist in society and Simon Cowell is such a @w@t it's kinda funny.
Some of the people on there are dam talented to be honest and if they get a shot at success instead of whittling away their hours in some unrewarding crappy job then all the better.

I don't enjoy slamming my hands in car doors. I do however enjoy the laugh factor of American Idol. My favorite part is the auditions.

Alot of times it's very funny to watch the people that really think they can sing but can't. I love the attitudes of some of them.
I also enjoy the people that do have great voices. I believe a great singing voice is a gift that very few of us have.

They should call it auditions and remove the rest of the show it is funny and if they start the DVDs of past shows all we truly want is all the auditions even ones we haven't seen

I tune in some of the try outs just to watch people make complete a***s of themselves. My husband watches them faithfully and I don't know why.

Probably, cant understand why people watch that show. at first it was amusing but now i just feel embarrassed for the people singing and its so unwatchable.
