Poverty in the World: Some countries lack resources, or have natural barriers to access or communication with the developed world (such as large mountains, un-sailable rivers or huge deserts). War is also a major cause of population dislocation and of course poverty. If a country has no education for its people, if its government is corrupt, if it lacks the rule of law, lacks basic health care for its citizens, or if it lacks the basic infrastructure (such as roads, sewers, telephones, etc.) you are likely to find a country with impoverished people. Also, countries might have trouble with Globalization ... an example would be the US dumping subsidized wheat into markets where a country's farmers have no price subsidies for their crops. The farmers of that country cannot compete and loose their land and their livelihood.
Singapore is an advanced market-based-economy that relies almost exclusively on exports. They suffer if other importing countries (US, Europe) suffer from a recession and cannot buy their exports. In the 2001 global recession, Singapore's economy declined 2.2%.

Entrepôt: An entrepôt (French, literally warehouse) is a trading centre, or simply a warehouse, where merchandise can be imported and exported without paying import duties, often at a profit. This profit is possible because of trade conditions, for example, the reluctance of ships to travel the entire length of a long trading route, and selling to the entrepôt instead. The entrepôt then sells at a higher price to ships traveling the other segment of the route.
Singapore, Hong Kong and the Cape of Good Hope were prominent examples in history and still are today to varying degrees.

Collectivization was a policy of consolidation of individual land and labor into co-operatives called collective farms. This was done in the old Soviet Union in the 1920's and was a disaster for production. Food production dropped so severely that millions of people died of starvation in the USSR in the 1930's.

Pragmatism (non-technical usage)
1. In ordinary usage, pragmatism refers to behavior which temporarily sets aside one ideal to pursue a lesser, more achievable ideal.
2. A 17th century usage of the term pragmatist has it referring to a person who meddles in the affairs of others.
3. In philosophy, the term pragmatism has a number of technical meanings that are only incidentally related to its ordinary usage.

Pragmatic maxim: In order to ascertain the meaning of an intellectual conception one should consider what practical consequences might conceivably result by necessity from the truth of that conception; and the sum of these consequences will constitute the entire meaning of the conception. (Peirce, CP 5.9, 1905).

well about part one: ask a friend or anyone in the class if they can tell you the question. if you cant do that then you should tell the teacher the truth. Some countries are poor because they have a lack of natural resources. Others are poor because of overinvolvement of the government. see:cuba. Things that can make country wealthier is to increase education. Increase technology (finding cheaper more effiecent ways to do something). Increasing the money supply would just cause inflation.

Collectivism is a term used to describe any moral, political, or social outlook, that stresses human interdependence and the importance of a collective, rather than the importance of separate individuals.
An entrepôt (French, literally warehouse) is a trading centre, or simply a warehouse, where merchandise can be imported and exported without paying import duties, often at a profit.
Pragmatism is a school of philosophy that originated with Charles Sanders Peirce
those three definitions are from wikipedia and have articles written about them if you need more information

Here's a link that might help:
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html
I don't really think Singapore has any major problems. They have problems like the U.S. They only have a population of 4 million. They are the world's busiest trading seaport. Countries that are extremely pour:
Jamaica
Bangladesh
Vietnam
North Korea=Communist (Not South Korea= Democratic)
Algeria
Sierra Leone
Many countries that are communist are poor. In Africa every country has either had a civil war or fallen into communism.
Are you sure you spelled those words right? If you have a windows XP or Me in Microsoft Work, there is a dictionary. Try that. I hope this helps.

You'll have to expand on these, but here's what I have: 1. After 1793 (King Louis XVI's death) Reign Of Terror began. Many of the aristocracy were beheaded (guillotine). Robespierre was mastermind of Reign Of Terror. Old maxim "end justifies the means" describes Robespierre's policy well. 2. Sorry, can't help... 3. Napoleon I Bonaparte, Emperor of the French, King of Italy, Mediator of the Swiss Confederation and Protector of the Confederation of the Rhine (15 August 1769 – 5 May 1821) was a general of the French Revolution, the ruler of France as First Consul (Premier Consul) of the French Republic from 11 November 1799 to 18 May 1804, Emperor of the French (Empereur des Français) under the name Napoleon I (Napoléon 1er) from 18 May 1804 to 6 April 1814, and was briefly restored as Emperor from 20 March to 22 June 1815. 4. The Reign of Terror was designed to deal with those individuals that committed treason. Hope this helps!

Some countries are poor because of luck. Iran got rich because it was lucky from the recouses of their land, like oil. Some countries have good crops and fertile land, making them rich, while other countries are poor because they either used up all of their environmental recouses or they never had them to begin with. Some countries are rich because they take advantage of others wealth with big armies or oppress people and use them for cheap labour, like in africa. Sorry, I'm writing this really quickly so you'll have to put this in your own words.
Liberation justice can be used to combat this problem. This means that the richer countries do not just give charity to the poorer countries so they become reliant on them, but they give them a way to make a living for themselves, i.e, they educate the poorer countries and help them grow crops so they'll have a stable food supply.
Hope I helped!

some poor countries are: Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, India, Bolivia, and Cameroon. something that can be done would be to increase the literacy rate and number of jobs available in the work force; both of these would increase the circulation of money and enrich the country's economy by doing so.
