i just met a guy for 2 times. He is nice and i think he really likes me. he is a foreigner living in my town.
His communication type is sending sms to my cell phone but never calls me (i dont know why).
Whenever he wants to invite me for cinema or coffee out, he always sends sms like " How are u" then " what r u doing now" then " would u like to go to the cinema"
why doesnt he ask " do u have time for the cinema now" and thats enough??. There is no need to send such 3 or 4 messages for that stuff., as I think.
besides, he wants to meet me at weekends, NOT on weekdays, i.e after working hours. why is that?
What is he thinking? Is he serious? What should i do?
p.s: he is living alone and he is not married

Basically, for a foreigner living in a town ain't his own is lonely. I know. Cos I fly in and put of the country for business every now and then, well, he might thinks that his confidence in the language
or that he is too shy to talk over the phone. Most man like me, prefer to sms, caused we wouldn't want to call the person at the wrong time, while they are busy.
In addition, he might be of good faith, and want a friend for after work activities/ normal hang out buddies, his just doesn't want to be misunderstood. Well, hope my answer will help you analyse a fair bit.

Have you considered that if he's not a native English speaker it might be less stressful? I could get tongue-tied talking to women on the phone, and that's without worrying about speaking in a different language.
As for opening questions, that's just being polite. If you're busy then he'll know not to bother you with an invitation. He might also want to avoid other people seeing personal messages from him.
I'd say stop worrying and don't listen to these conspiracy theorists that think he's got a wife hidden away.

Watch out. Many of these foreigners are just looking for an American wife so they can become citizens. They put ALLOT of effort into it.
He could also be lonely in a new country, and does not think he is leading you on.
Or he may like you.

tell him texting is a pain in the butt, and it costs money, show him how to dial your number or even put it on speed dial. Are you POSITIVE he lives alone and or is not married. If he always texts you those messages in that order...after the first one answer all of them before he can send the rest

well seems like he really likes you...and he doesn't want to come on to strong...or too early, he asks you what your doing because if you say your busy then its alot easier on him to handle than him asking you out and then you saying no cus your busy. when u answer like that he will think your just busy and not cus you dont wana go out with him but when he asks u wanna go out and you say your busy its tough on him cus ...well he likes u and rejection isnt all that fun...if he were hiding something...well thats highly unlikely because i SMS is longer and slower and harder to discard evidence, a call would be alot more easy to discard...but i think YOU should call him make him feel a bit more conferable, i bet when he notices you calling him hell start calling you back...

he probably has something to hide, like a wife that checks his phone records
but why don't you ask HIM why he never calls and only sends sms
