Yes, they are put off by the hairy wrinkly females. But, they do it to ensure the continuation of their species. The poor noble creatures.

Humans and chimps are actually different.
In humans, hairiness is a sign of masculinity in females -- it's not that in chimps.
And even among humans, a majority of those women who have enough moustache and beard growth to have to shave every day are married.

The same reason why one human is attracted to another human. Chimps must think that we must look pretty silly with hardly any hair and fat asses. Besides I've seen some peolpe that look like monkeys so whos to say?
