No ways...Dat is totally impossible as many sites like wikipedia and imdb have already started featuring the HSM 2 cast and storyline and Ashley is very much there.....I cant imagine HSM without Sharpay (Ashley) it would just be so boring...Ashley brightens up the screen and if it were not for her the movie wouldn't have worked very well......But the others actors too are equally cool and I love them too....3 cheers fro HSM 1 & 2

Well, no, she is not. If you go to this page, you will see a bunch of information about High School Musical and the cast list for High School Musical 2. Oh, and by the way, the producer of HSM said that if HSM 2 goes well, a HSM 3 will be out! Hooray! (Also, the HSM 2 will be coming out on August 17th, 2007.

not likely since the character "Sharpay Evans" is still going to be in HSM2
so, no, she is most likely not quitting HSM.
In fact, it is being filmed right now and is expected to release on disney channel this summer.
P.S. u can go to disneychannel.com and click on HSM2 and u get to vote for things that will actually appear in the movie (small things though such as what Chad's T-shirt will say, not anything big like can change the story)

I sure hope not. There is no HSM2 if Sharpay is not in it, and they certainly can't replace her! I know that she has her album out and everything, but she would never not be in the sequel.

No! This is not true! I herd that this is not true from over 5 magezins, and I herd it was NOT true on DISNEY cHANNEL. And if it was true, they would have allready replaced her! I hope this helps!
