take over the US Government for him? A coup d’état. I'd say that since at least 2/3 of the US military is Evangelical Christians it would be relatively easy.

It is hard to say. We may find out if it ever happens.

my friend you are very much out of touch with reality.

first off 2/3 of the military in no way are evangelical anythings.

second, it would be an absolute impossibility.

Such an order would not be followed at any level, not the Joint Chiefs all the way down to the lowest grunt.

The President cannot order US Military action within the country, period.

The President until recently couldn't order National Guard action because they were the only military authorized to operate within the boarders of the country.

Every service man to the lowest rank knows they will never be ordered to act within the country and knows such an order is illegal that is why they won't follow it. Just as i would not have when i was in.

You want to fear something?

Fear the President being given authority over the National Guard, authority he only has because Gov Blanco of Louisiana refused to call them out after Katrina and cost thousands their lives.

I think he got the Supreme Court to do that in 2000. I don't think our own Military would do this, they are training private Army's to enforce their rule when the time is right.
