I live in a predominantly black neighborhood where whites are treated like crap for no reason and when I express my displeasure with the situation I am called racist by blacks on this site, why? Is this not the country that allows us to speak our mind?

I don't think it's ok to use vulgar names or insults and I don't believe in violence, but I do think it's perfectly ok for me to say in a respectful way that I do not like black people.

OK folks scratch that. I guess my problem is not with color at all. I have no problem with blacks who are respectful and decent people. I have a problem with ignorant blacks! The catch 22 is that most of them in my neighborhood are ignorant, law breaking people who are giving the whole race a bad rap.

depends on what you are doing and saying and in every situation. maybe you have been discriminated against enough now to begin to suffer from some bigotted views of your own.
Be careful and let every situation be a new beginning. that takes strength I know.
Any time you are a slight minority in another ethnic ghetto this will happen anywhere in the world. People will talk behind your back, defer good treatment when you are a customer, shy away from even friendly small talk etc. You will notice these things, but must resist temptation to label a whole town. Its usually just a few bad apples spoiling the bunch.
It has to stop somewhere and it can stop with you by refusing to lower yourself to intollerence by someone else's display of intollerance. you really need to learn to not care and when something major and actually significant happens like this then make sure you are paying strict attention to detail and report your findings appropriately.

From your posting it appears that Blacks have also learned to be prejudiced and racist.
How sad that a people who have long complained about racism are now displaying racist behavior themselves rather than choosing to be the supreme examples of socially correct, acceptable behavior. Martin Luther King would hang his head in shame if he were still alive. He died because he dared to tell whites that blacks deserved respect and because he challenged blacks to demonstrate decent correct behavior that would earn them that respect. Someone couldn't stand to hear him say those things so he was killed. How sad, I have to wonder if conditions would be better had he lived.
Those peoples prejudice does not overrule your right to speak that which is decent and fair.
I blame a lot of this behavior on the rap lyrics and videos that glorify disrespectful behavior. Some of these fools are just mimicking what they see because they can't think for themselves what is right.

here's the thing that is dislike. i'm half black just otlet u know. if someone makes a remark or notice concern someone who is black that person and also the comment is firstly hthought as racist. that is not fair. you have the right to voice your dislike to whomever, jsut do it in a good manner, like if u say all of you N*** now that's not good an dit is racist, but if you say it in a good way then you have all of you right! i get you tho

While you are correct that you have the right to speak your mind, so do these people if they want to call you "racist."
Your rights are not being threatened; you're just paying the price for where you stand (and your skin color.)
Sorry about that!

You CAN say anything you want. Just be prepared for other people to exercise THEIR right to free speech. This means that sometimes, you might hear something you don't like.

I can't pinpoint when, but I agree.
The same thing goes for tolerance for any religion, except Christianity. If you are Christian, you'd better be tolerant of every other religion or be called a bigot, but no one has to be tolerant of you.

if the country you are talking about is the U.S of north america...then to the question, you wish!!! i have never seen a country where people are more "guided", where there is less individual freedom, where the government does whatever it wants, where television can make people do whatever they want people to do.

Yes it is polictially incorrect. You are supposed to throw yourself over a mud puddle and let them walk on you, lest they soil their feet. Don't take their crap nor white liberal vomit. Fight back, stand your ground. Black people have more respect for strength than liberal wimps.
