They are very interesting creatures,quite docile,they like each others` company and do no harm to man. Yet man has invaded their territory with his motor boats and motor skis, resulting in many of the Manatee having gashes and deep cuts on their backs from the propellers and blades of these craft. The Manatee are so large and yet so gentle.

I enjoy manatees so much! They have been my favorite animal for God knows how long! I wish I were a manatee, how happy I would be... 'Cause if I were a manatee, I would be happy and free! I LOVE THEM!!!!

I do, I live in Florida, and I have touched one, they feel like a Tire on a car, Good-Luck.. and I hate it when boats will not slow down to protect these gentle Giants !! the one I touched had alot of cuts on it's back from engines on boats..

I do too. The cows of the ocean. Very peaceful looking. I see them at Sea World all the time.
