Cheerleading is "easier".

For women's gymnastics there are 4 different events at which you have to be proficient. Each discipline requires, strength, precision, and grace. The top level athletes are training as their full-time job and it encompasses their diet and sleeping schedules.

Cheerleading uses some gymnastics skills, dance, performing skills, and cheering. All of which are used in gymnastics, excluding the cheering (unless you are rooting on your teammates).

Regardless, both activities have their merits and the participants hopefully enjoy what they are doing.

It all depends on who you are and your experiences. I have done some gymnastics and I have cheered for 3 years and I would definitely say that cheerleading is harder because in gymnastics you do just that gymnastics, but cheerleading is a combination of gymnastics and dance, and on top of that you have to be very flexible and in shape, which you also have to do for gymnastics, but cheerleading is still harder. I hope this helps.

Gymnastics is used in cheerleading, but in cheerleading you not only have to learn the moves, but the order of the moves and the words and their order.

I always thought they were both pretty much the same if not close to each other. I would think that they are both pretty much the same just gymnastics is more technical. I guess I would say gymnastics would be a bit harder.
