If you see those nasty comments, then tell them off. Most of them don't even know anything about AFI or have not heard anything besides the singles.
Anyway, AFI is a very unique band
AFI were once an underground hardcore-punk band. People can't say crap about them, if they knew that. They've paid their dues. They're success has been a long time coming. Being together for 15 years and still making music is something that all bands look up to, career-wise.

Finally someone with some sense. All day, I've been yelling at people who do nothing but insult them, or only care for their looks. Finally a real AFI fan, who asked a really good question. I LOVE AFI, I'm a longtime fan, and couldn't be more happier for their success.
I'm glad we like the same band, I hope you become obsessed with them too :)

*raises hand* A lot of people are saying they are sell outs and they dont sound like they used to, but I think it's a good thing that they are continously changing their sound. If they didnt it would get a bit stale. But they know what they are doing and they KILL... My favorite band out of all of them. I've been hooked since The Art of Drowning.. it's my personal fave..

i absolutely love them. they have saved my life been a fan since the all hallows ep came out and wont stop loving them for what they have done for me. the music is just so organic and beautiful even their older stuff as hard and fast as it gets it's all just beautiful people should really give them a second listen if they didnt like them at first i truly think they are a band everyone can genuinely love.

I just recently heard them and I thought they were really good. I think they have a very unique sound. I'd definitely buy an album.
