It's not you ... 7 of the Thrashers last 8 losses have come in the third period - Including their last 3 losses (their last 3 games!).
The two most painful on the season may have been either :
- Nov 24 against Tampa Bay when TB scored with 21 sec left to tie the game then won it in a shoot out or
- Oct 13 when Carolina scored the winning goal with 1 sec left in regulation!
For the year though only 12 of their 28 losses were from being outscored in the 3rd.
In 13 of their losses Atlanta never led and have been shut out 3 times.

I think you spelt "Atlanta Thrashers" wrong. I think it's actually spelt like this:
N - E - W - Y - O - R - K - R - A - N - G - E - R - S.
and then Glen the Idiot Sather goes out and trades for a center when this team is badly in need of a defensive defenseman!
