Anytime you cut yourself, even accidentally, there is a chance you can a) not clot and bleed to death (unlikely) or b) catch a life threatening infection and die. If you cut up your arm, along the vein, it opens up more of your body to germs and blood loss, but to actually die from slitting your wrists, you'd need to either have no clotting ability, or put the cut in warm water to keep the blood flowing.

Yes! There have been many cases where someone accidentally cuts too deep or slips and cuts in the wrong area where they have either died or had to be rushed to the ER for emergency first aid.
This is why cutting is always a serious issue, even if the person is not acting with suicidal intent.

Any cut, if deep enough could kill you if you sever any veins or vessels that carry enough blood. not only could a cut on the wrist kill you but cutting yourself elsewhere can be more fatal. there is a spot on the upper arm that carries more blood in a minute than the body even holds. Any deep wound could cause you to bleed out depending on severity.

down ur wrist...as in wrist to elbow . coz theres no tendons to prevent u hitting the artery. if u go across theres all tendons n stuff to stop u. causes more pain then doin straight down, and also ull only hit a vein, which is a long and slow death.
even tho ur curious...plz never do this.

Absolutely. All that needs to happen is cutting the wrong place (vein, artery). Even if this doesn't happen, a person could become infected and get blood poisoning--or worse.

why did you even want to question the fact that the very loss of enough blood volume may not cause death?
my question to you is when are you going to get the help you need?
i don't think it's the ideas expressed within your question that should be addressed, but if you didn't have an intent for this kind of knowlege,
why ask?
