He was actually just trying to force Russia to stop trading with England- th..e plan was to go in, defeat the Russian Army, and at that point he expected Alexander to agree to his terms. But the Russians didn't cooperate. First, they retreated rather than fighting at the border as Napoleon expected. Then, when Napoleon did get the battle he wanted, at Borodino, it was a draw. And then he took Moscow and spent weeks sending messages to the Czar in St Petersburg with his demands, not realizing that the Russian Army was getting stronger and that winter was coming.

well this was really funny. He invades russia after he's been exiled right and plans to invade because he's an imperialist. there's a battle but its unofficial so napoleon is stupid enough that he burns the city(moscow) yet he doesn't count in weather. the snow, the coldness defeats him like it does with hitler who sends troops there with clothes that are not favorable in cold weather. Shows that weather and history(hitler didn't pay close attention in class) come handy when trying to rule. Don't you think?

A mad historical quest to reign the madman in supreme. Typical atheistic fool. But since then there have been many. Some claim to be religious - just to get votes (Blair and Bush) but all have failed to grasp what it means to be spiritual - don't hurt anything unless you must.
