If you have played flute before, then I suggest you take the piccolo as it is good for people who have played flute first. I don't suggest taking the oboe at all because it will take a long time to get used to it -- it is a double reed and is quite hard. Also, the embochure for the flute is way different from that of the oboe. Trust me, I have tried both the flute and the oboe (I'm sticking to oboe, though).

Flute players usually don't 'switch' to piccalo, they play duo instruments, meaning that they play both the flute and the piccalo. My suggestion is to stick to your instrument(s) and improve at it. You've only been playing for about 2yrs and there is still plenty of time to improve! Personally, I've been playing the oboe for 7 years now and it is alot of work. According to the American Academy of Music, along with the horn, the oboe is considered one of the most difficult instruments to play. Did I also mention that EACH reed costs $10+? It is unlikely the clarinet reeds which are about $5 for ten reeds. The positive side about playing the oboe is that there are less compeitiors. The flute is a very beautiful sounding instrument, but if you want to switch, it is entirely up to you if you want to try something new. Band teachers don't get to decide everything! ;)

The picallo is pretty similar, and so is the oboe. Since you have been playing the flute for two years, then switching shouldn't be that hard for you. I played the flute and the picallo while I was in junior high. Good luck!

i like Lebron, hes super for the interest, so which you get a TOMMY element. (celeb) yet my renowned participant is Paul Pierce simply by fact he pours his coronary heart and soul into the interest, and in no way supplies up. On yet another group its Delonte West, simply by fact he's a advantageous standup guy. I had lunch with him, my aunt, and his agent some merchandising. (My aunt is a PR director for the Celtics) He took care of the enterprise component in 5 minutes, and spent something of the hour and a 0.5 only chilling, telling thoughts, and definitely listening to what I had to assert. i grew to become into a great deal greatly surprised at how all the way down to earth the guy grew to become into. Cleveland is fortunate to have him.
