wants to take me to see Epic Movie on valentines day. what he and i both wanna know is how long do movies stay in theaters after they've hit theaters?

Well the times have gotten shorter then ever to how long they stay in theaters before there DVD release.. It used to take at least a year. But I know some movies that came out in like October and November are coming out this month like Borat.. so they are usually in theaters for about 5-6 months tops maybe a little longer if they do extremely well.

Epic movie won't stay in the theaters very long at all, cuz it sucks, but generally about a month, cuz i have a dollar theater that the movie stays for a while!

8 months if the movie bombs at the theater, maybe shorter, but Epic Movie is fun, so it should last for a few weeks, and then be released this summer on DVD for rental.

depends on how successful the movie is.
Got to http://rottentomatoes.com and look at the box office revenues. Compare to other movies. Look number of theatres playing the movie week by week. Easy to see if movie will be in theatres long. Its all about money.

a couple of weeks.it will still be ther by vallentines day.but epic movie isnt really a valentines movie

Uhhh, i know this dosent answer your question, but dont go see that. Pick another movie. It's horrible!! Go see Norbit or something if you wanna see funny.
