I have a friend who's going through a lot, she has a new baby and she found out her husband is cheating on her and he is no help. Her mother and my mother are best friends. I'm very worried about her mental state and have asked her if she could take the baby to her mom's for a couple of days, but her mom is either afraid or doesn't want to keep the baby. I thought about calling my mom and not giving her too many details, but to tell my Friends mom, hey you really need to be there for your daughter. No one else but me knows this is going on, but I don't want to start no drama. I am seriously worried about my friend though.

Talk to one of the mothers.

You sound like you have a level head on your shoulders. If you can, go help her out. Even if you just watch her baby for a few hours and let her have some alone time. Or be there for her to talk to and vent to.
