You need to narrow your question down ALOT. Where abortion is legal and accessible none. After all, you said "unsafe' abortions, which means the back-street coat hanger variety. In the developing world MANY women die annually: in the tens of thousands - perhaps hundreds of thousands. A number of United Nations organisations have studied this subject at length and their findings may be very easily located on the net.

Women in Ethiopia & other countries are more prone to die from illegal abortions than women in the U.S. , this is because abortions are legal in most U.S. states . In other countries they are not legal .The rate of illegal or "non-clinical" abortions have decreased dramatically since the 1960's in the U.S. In third world countries the rate of illegal abortions and fatalities cannot be counted , there are too many. I would say that in just Ethiopia the rate of deaths due to illegal abortions are probably in the thousands. Well I hope this info helps. I am not for any type of abortions I am Pro-Life but I know a lot about this subject.

Most times somethings wrong with the women and they want the baby but they have to get an obortion.
