I have to say the 1993 Dream Team(MJ, Magic, Bird, & etc.). That team was full of all-time greats and they dominated their competition like no other. They went threw the entire olympics without calling a time out. That has to be the greatest sports team assembled.

Agreed

I also liked the combo of Jordan and Pippen sending a message to Toni when they played him overseas by shutting him down as neither wanted him on the team and he didn't prove them wrong

You have a valid point. But why were they assembled? Because John Thompson was a HORRIBLE coach for the '88 Olympic team that should have easily won gold. The team was assembled so they COULDN'T lose, even if it tried. But at what price victory?

If you are looking for true greatness in team sports, consider these which actually won league championships:

Celtics dynasty of the '50's and '60's
1927 Yankees
Lakers team that won 33 (or 34) in a row
1972 Miami Dolphins

I'll agree with you on the 93 dream team, but that was an anomaly. Olympians aren't paid, and it would be impossible to recruit a team like that to play through the course of a season. You could never afford to put together a team like that.

For a regular team in any sport, I'll go with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the 1970's. They dominated football for many years, and that is a difficult sport to stay on top for any period of time. Some great football teams have come and gone since then, but none like Steelers of that decade.

i imagine you should seem on the eras the "tremendous" communities performed for. like the Russian communities of the 70's and eighty's were they tremendous on the time they were assembled? certain; might want to they over skill immediately's assembly of stars in a unmarried usa? No; because some thing of the international has stuck as a lot as them. That being pronounced i do not imagine an assembly of a cutting-area day "Dream crew" can compete w/ the ninety 2 crew. thanks to many all stars that did not have the "selfish" beliefs immediately's crew has. i imagine Stockton may have immediately's "all in call for human being" element preserve for lunch. What extra perfect capturing guards might want to you've then Jordan and Drexler?

The Soviet hockey team from the pre-1980s era. They never lost a game until they lost to the US and beat the hell out of any team that got in their way. They even dominated the NHL allstars in a game here in the states. In hockey, they were the team of the times.

As far as college basketball i'd say UCLA under Wooden. They won a rediculous amount of championships during that time.
