how do you mess with a paranoid schizophrenics mind? my dad keeps hurting my mom and there is not way i can get her to see the real side of him unless he has one of his out breaks and thinks someone is watching him then he goes crazy and starts to look around for people who are "watching him". i have no idea how to get his true side to show. i have tryed things such as moving papers around (phone bill) things like that and it gets to him but i no long live there so please help me reval the real man.
any crazy ideas?

what happens when you mess with his mind and hes convinced your mother is the one doing this stuff out to get him and he hurts her possibly fatally because he was convinced she was a threat to his life?
Ring the police tell them he's got drugs and get him that way the illness isn't his fault but the drugs is. Find a better way to keep your mum safe or simply just ring 911 and tell them whats happening they can hospitalize him and get him treatment as he is regarded a threat to others so he can be placed in a hospital against his own will.

I really don't think it's such a good idea to "mess" with the mind of a paranoid schizophrenic, especially if you care about your mother. I'm sure she already knows how he can be, just talk to her about your concerns..........DON'T MESS WITH HIM!!!! Paranoid Schizophrenics are too unpredictable to risk this!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure that you want to mess with someones mind like that. I mean if your dad is sick why would you do this? If your dad physically hurts your mom call 911 and they will take him away. If you deliberately antagonize your father it is not going to help anyone, if anything this will hurt you he is your father and your mom will be hurt by this. It's like when someone hurts your child the pain the mom feels, if someone hurt my husband it would hurt me too. It's hard living with someone who suffers from mental illness have you contacted NAMI for support for family members?

this is one think you may want to stay away from. you will find out once they lose it they are not in there right stat of mind and they could really hurt you with out even knowing that they did anything to you. so think about it before doing something you are going to regreat....
