I don't believe there is any difference. Homeopathic medical practitioners treat the whole person rather than one isolated complaint. Homeopathy usually refers to remedies available in most health food stores. People who have a holistic approach to health use homeopathic remedies to restore harmony within their bodies.

Unlike the nay-sayers, neither is a matter of mind over matter - since there are, in fact, licensed veterinarians who devote their entire practice based on homeopathic remedies.

The first link below shows they are intertwined. The second link will assist you in locating one.

Homeopathy is a specific medical practice originating in europe. It is also holistic in nature, meaning that it cures the whole person and uses symtoms of the whole person to identify the malady. Allopathic is Western medicine that looks at individual symptoms to treat and uses drugs specific to each symptom. Homeopathy works by stimulating the body to heal itself. The remedy does not do the healing. The healing starts from the newest to the oldest symto, from the top down, and the outside in.

Homepathic remedies are made from a substance, usually a plant or mineral, that is known to aggravate the symtoms you want to cure. The subtance is then diluted to a multiple of a 10th of the strength (X), a hundreth of the strength (C), or a thousandth of the strength (M) . The less diluted, the less potent and the shorter lasting the effects are. Something like 6x is good for a temporary and non-acute problem, like an insect bite. 30c would be good for most first aid kits, they are strong, but not too strong or long lasting. A 200 c dose should only be administered by a homeopathic md; the effects can last months or longer.

After the subtance is diluted, it is made into a tablet, a pellet, a liquid, or a cream or jel. The tablet, pellets, and liquid are taken sublingually (under the toung). It is important not to eat any strong foods like peppermint, or coffee or have a cigarette within 15 minutes on either side of taking the homeopathic medecine. the cream or jel is for topical applications, like to heal a wart, for sunburn, muscle pain, toothpaste, etc.

All homeopathy is considered safe for breastfeeding and pregnant mothers.

homeopathy is a belief that "like cures like" (an illness can be cured by a minute dose of something that would produce the same symptom) and holistic healing is when you consider all factors when treating illness: taking into account all of somebody's physical, mental, and social conditions in the treatment of illness

Hi to find a good Homoeopath i would only go to one myself who is registered with The Society of Homoeopaths, anyone can claim they are a Homoeopath but if registered with this organisation they must have trained in a recognised college.

homeopathic uses the thing that may be causing you to be sick in very small doses to make your body build defenses against it. holistic just means "whole body" , it takes everything into consideration...mind and body to heal.
