Apparently back in 82 or 83, Heather received some sort of phone call that her son Steven Lars was ill and she left town to visit him.

After about 20 yrs away from PC, she came back in June 04 and was involved in some mysterious plot against Skye Quartermaine and had something to do with her going to prison for the murder of cop Ross Duncan. Something about a letter from Luke (actually from Heather) that lead to Skye's conviction.

Then when Lila died, Heather made herself available to Edward to comfort him in his grief, manipulated him, and even pretended to be possessed by Lila's spirit. I think he was mostly suceptible to her machinations because of his grief.

As for Scottie, he's back recently for some as yet undetermined reason. Might have something to do with Laura and/or Rick Webber's murder.

I hope someone answers this because I have lost all my memory on this although I remember her clear as day. I have watched off and on since the late 70's, I do remember her having a meltdown though. Scottie is back, last week.
