You may want to be a communications major, I suggest mass communications if your school offers it, that will get you into sports broadcasting. You may even want to do Journalism and know something about sports. I am studying the same thing. Well sorta.

It's the knowledge of football that will get you there, degree or not. If you know enough about it, you can just start your own football analysis website and try to make it as popular as you can. The major networks will come to you with a deal if you're that good.

Obviously, a college degree couldn't hurt, but majoring in medicine could be just as helpful or more so than communications. What you major in is actually the most flexible part of that goal.
