2008 election. Giuliani v/s Clinton. The state of New York is the state that will decide who wins. Say both get 245 electoral votes and a third party candidate gets 17 electoral votes (just to make it interesting!). What would possibly happen? Will Giuliani shock the country and carry New York's 31 electoral votes or will Clinton follow with the tradition and wins the race? Uff, this would be a tight one! Any possible scenarios?

Yeah, Giuliani would destroy Clinton. A lot of the Bible Belt Red States are unfortunately not ready for a woman candidate and anyone the Republicans run would beat her. Barak is the better bet, though I'm still kinda curious whether it will be Giuliani or McCain that the Republicans run.

No, but I remember very clearly hearing that part of the reason that Guiliani didn't run for Senator in New York was that all polls and scuttlebutt told him he couldn't beat Hillary Clinton. That wasn't all that long ago. She scored big with Republicans in Upper New York, in both of her races. He'll have a very difficult time taking New York away from Hillary.
