I think its more interesting that NASA does so many tests to see if people are emotionally stable, calm, they make sure astronauts are far more than just intelligent.

Just shows us how much we can predict the future!

Also, being an astronaut would be a pretty stressful job, so maybe the stress got to her. Maybe she thought if she was an astronaut she would be happy but then she was not and it made her very upset.

Just because someone is intelligent doesn't mean that they have any common sense. In my experience I've discovered that a lot of academic people who have devoted (more or less) all of their lives to study, haven't lived in the "real" world and are unable to do simple things such as socialize outside of their own environment.

I have a friend at work who is currently studying astro-physics at one of the best universities in the country and she is a social leper (particularly in the romance department). She is in her early twenties and has next to no life outside of university and weekend work. As a result of this her emotional development is still trapped at around 15 years of age.

As far as this NASA astronaut, have a think about it. The sort of sh*t that she has done is something that you wpould expect from a 15 year old girl (albeit, not as dramatic as kidnapping) who is jealous of the competition at high school.

I'm not saying "don't go to school" or anything. All I mean is that there has to be a healthy balance or else you will lose your grip.

I think the diaper drove up the craziness quotient by about 50 times. If not for that, I think people would maybe recognize her emotions more easily. She crossed the line, though--while many people IMAGINE doing these things to a romantic rival, she actually did it. Poor lady.

i think the better question would be, why was she employed at NASA? Dont they do psychological testing and stuff? Just goes to show how accurate that is doesnt it?

Mind boggling isn't it. When one thinks they are in love they can do very stupid things no matter what level of education, just stupid.

You imagine that intelligence has anything to do with jealousy, sexuality, and romantic problems? Curious. Why do you imagine that?

A brain can not overcome the emotional green eye of jealousy!
