Can anyone give a good explanation of gasoline prices?

Gas goes up when it gets cold, gas goes up when it gets warm. Gas goes up with an increase in oil price, the same day. Gas takes two months to come down when oil goes down, that is if it didn't get warmer or colder, and if the day of the week that it is doesn't end in "AY"
