It's all in your head. Your stomach doesn't think it's that serious.

This is not as big a deal for me now, but I was really concerned about keeping my food separate when I was a kid. Also, I used to eat my foods one at a time. For example, I'd eat all the greens, then all the mac and cheese, then all the corn.
I know other people who like to keep their food separate, too, so you're not alone. :)

Now, that sounds like a combination where you wouldn't want your food touching. There are some foods that are okay to touch and eat together but others that's a big no-no, like your description.

Yes and I have to eat one thing at a time. There is no eating veggies before my potatoes are finished and no eating meat until my veggies are finished.
edit : TMW and I are alike. I thought I was the only one like that. LOL.

I know lots of people that this bothers. It doesn't me. I don't care if they touch. I hate if something get in my drink though or if a fly lands on my food, I'm done.

Brace yourself. My grandmother has a way of mashing up all her food before eating it. She sort of pushes it on top of itself, making a little mashed potato/green bean/pork chop mountain. Odd, isn't it?

Food can touch. One of the best foods, my grandma's pickled beets, runs all over the plate. You get that strong juice in everything on your plate.

No, I don't hate it. Besides, in my stomach, the food won't stay divided anyway!

I don't like that either. Infact when I eat I eat one thing first and finish it then go to the next thing eat all of it and so on until my plate is empty.
