It really depends on the craziness of the fire. Is it burning as in the house will collapse any second or is it there's a fire and we should probably get out before it gets worse? I might not go back and grab my rat cage, although I might grab the rats. If the house is in okay but dangerous condition, I might open up the cage. It is really hard to say. I don't think I could live with my pets dying in their cage and the only chance for survival was me and I didn't even try to stop their suffering. I'd probably go back!

You say that, but until you experience a house fire, you don't know what you will do. I almost lost my life in a house fire, and I was so much in shock that I could not think. You always say what you'd do - like what items you'd save first - but when you see flames in your house and it is filled with smoke, you panic.
Fortunately my cat escaped when a window broke form the heat, but her kittens did not survive, nor did a wild puppy I had rescued from being shot at a nursing home. The pup would not let me touch it, was really wild, (we trapped itto save it) but it was she who woke me up by barking and trying to jump on my bed when the fire started. I'll always think she was an angel ... but as for saying what you will do in a fire, you won't know until it happens. I would have been one who would have said I'd have saved my beloved pets, but I was in shock... and allI could do was run outside and try to yell for help, but my voice wouldn't work...I was petrified.

We have a lot of pets, so no. My cat is always with me, so I would throw here out the window, and and other animals that were close to me, and I would all my dogs and if they come then throw them out. If I had time, I would grab my duffel bag and put my cat in there and lower her down so she wouldnt freak out and run back in the house.

You bet I would. I have a boston terrier and 2 cats and they would be right by my side watching the fire from outside the house. Why would anyone have animals just to leave them to die?

I wouldn't go back, I would have brought them out in the first place even if that means I need to carry them. I love my animals and I wouldn't want them ever hurt!!!

Yes I would unless the house was totally consumed and I knew there was no chance of getting them out alive.

Only if it was safe to do so. I love my pets but to risk my life when I have children and family loved ones to think of then no, not if it was too dangerous.

Nine out of ten times, They would have "gotten" you first! But absolutely I would try! My cat is 22 yrs. old and she didn't lift my spirits everyday, for this long, to die in a "FIRE"! Not if I could help it! God bless!
