Yes, I know that most US media is liberal & if Fox News was "old school" conservative then I think that would be great to offset the liberal media but Fox News goes so much further right than regular conservativism (like Bush) that they need new names to describe what they are, like the Neo conservative Theocratic-Fascists network & that is neither fair or balanced it's one of the most dangerous things that you can but into a Democracy kind of like Al Jazeera only in the US.

Neither. It is just 1 (very small) source to try to balance the extreme left wing bias of NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN & PBS. I understand why their existence is so disturbing to liberals who no longer have a monopoly on the dissemination of news.

FOX is a disgrace. Their news is so bias to the point that it doesn't make any sense. All the other news organizations are left, but not excessively, and it's a little weird and paranoid to think so. Either way, when it comes to FOX, you could be a retarded, half-dead monkey and still know that it is not fair and balanced at all. I think it's a crazy response to what they view as a crazy, liberal world out there, which makes them afraid. And Lord knows that fear doesn't lead to the best reasoning. So badda-bing, badda-boom...you got the ******, steaming pile of **** that is FOX…trying to fight the evil, left, hippie monster corrupting the youth. Wow, maybe if they quit making liberals the enemy, they'd stop all their antics.

"the extreme left wing bias of NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN & PBS"

- anyone who says anything this stupid knows nothing about either the media or political science. If you think that any of those networks are from the 'extreme left', you need to spend some time learning and not just mouthing off.

Fox is, as other respondents have suggested, classic Murdoch tabloid publishing: loud, buright, angry and lacking in substance.

Faux is a money making scam owned by an australian. It reduces news to its lowest common denominator, and substitutes opinion for fact and most of the brain dead 28% fall for it. A wonderful example of how they twist the truth is displaying Mark Foley as a democrat, that the soldier was spit "on" and not "at" and failure to state that no one corroborates his story, and other examples too numerous to list. Fair and Balanced is a lie.

I always ask any Fox News basher with whom I come in contact to show an example of a bias in a news story. I reiterate: a NEWS story, not from a commentator.

Just so we're on the same wavelength, ythe news is the part at the top of the hour when they actually report news, not what Bill O'Reilly has to say about it. If you're one of the few who actually understands the difference, I apologize for my condescension, but you'd be amazed how many trot out a link to all O'Reilly's supposed "biases".

They call themselves "Fair and Balanced". If "Fair and Balanced" means saying all Democrats want to see the Country destroyed, San Francisco should be nuked, and Clinton is responsible for every Bush failure, I shutter to think of what they would be like if they were "Republican and Unbalanced".

Fox News is very reliable and Bill tries very hard to be fair and balanced, but what can he do when weasels and cowards will not come on and explain their point of view? He gives them an invite and they hide up their moms skirt. Real courage huh?
