Yes, girls can get a Valentine gift for 'guys' ... in fact 'anyone' be they male or female may get 'anyone else 'be they male or female a 'Valentine's Day Gift' ... but you should keep it 'light and cute' unless you are in a 'long term relationship' with the person for whom you are getting the gift. And I don't get my husband any more than a tiny box of 'candy hearts' as a Valentine's Day gift, nor he for me ... because Valentine's Day is our ANNIVERSARY and we always celebrate THAT and tend to 'forget about' the 'fact' that Valentine's Day we are 'supposed to get a gift' for the 'one we love.'

Since my husband is the only one who is working at the moment (I'm a stay-at-home mommy), and he is also in charge of finances, it is hard for me to "surprise" him with a Heart-Day thing *grin*
2 years ago, though it was an early present (05 Feb), I gave my hubby a new daughter *grin* I figured that should last me a good long while, but I still try to make the night special for him, as it is ALSO our anniversary. Usually we go out for dinner, but then I try to have the house looking nice and.....well, I won't elaborate *grin*
But yeah, girls DO sometimes get guys things for Heart-Day

Yes. Usually things like chocolates, cards, flowers. And in a lot of parts of the world guys get things for girls too. In elementary school in Canada, students give each other cards, whether they are guys or girls. Cards for all your classmates. It's really fun!

I buy my guy things for Valentine's day. Of course, we aren't bothering with celebrating it anymore because we can do special things any other day of the week.

WE do a week of stuff.
I get sexy boxer shorts and make him wear them all week.
I get him a corny T-shirt from Target for Sunday morning.
I walk around the house with a red slip on....we have kids, so I can't get to sexy- you know.
I went by his office, put a big red kiss on his car window- left him a note on his car seat (sealed of course) that it would be fun to play "ring around his rosy", my lip gloss is ready. He got a speeding ticket on the way home that night.
I sent him two dozen Pink roses at the first of the week, so all the woman at the office just told him "how lucky" is was, and they made sure I got a bunch of roses myself. I ask him to give them each a rose on Friday, so all the ladies had one to take home.

If she doesn't buy me some candy then I take her gifts back.. it'd be pretty selfish of a girl not to buy something for the guy and expect something from him.
