I read a recent survey that most women have no more than 4 intimate partners their entire life. Ladies, you think that is high, low or about right? You don't have to tell any secrets (unless you want to), but do you believe its only 4?

Well you have to take into account how many women lied. That explains the low numbers...Think of how ridiculously high the men's survey would be...

I can only assume that women in their 80's or 90's were surveyed: a 30 year old woman, unless she is a clarivoyant, cannot know how many intimate partners she will have in the course of her lifetime. The elderly women surveyed most probably suffer some form of dementia so they can't remember in the first place!
The survey is obviously bogus.

I know lots of women who have sex with multiple partners in one week, if you are defining intimacy as sexual. So, on average I would think 4 is a low number, especially since women are more open and comfortable with their sexuality. This statistic would fit me, however, but I consider myself a minority. I wonder if that low number reflects a woman's fear of STD's and AIDS. I mean, we hear more and more about STD's and cervical cancer and that's enough to keep me from seducing a guy.

Too low. I think I'd had four "intimate partners" by the time I graduated high school and over fifty by now.

er i think thats a bit low. I dont put out as it were very easily and ive certainly had more than 4 intimate partners. Well I hope its low. lol

What age group was surveyed? My Grandmother had about 4 partners....lol i think women today typically dont get married as young ...and we have tome to do some 'comparison shopping'

You have to remember the older part of the population. Times have changed and it was probably more dangerous to have sex with many different partners (and birth control wasn't as effective back in the day). Also it was less culturally accepted.

How old ARE these women? Four might be about right for someone in their early 20s, or for someone who married young ... but a woman who stays single into her thirties likely has far more than four partners.

That's a hard question because it all depends on the people you are asking. 4 is the right number for me, but I know a lot of girls that have had more or less.... I am sorry that I can't give you a straight answer.

Well, I SAY it is 4, but actually it's about double that.
Maybe the other women in the survey are equally dishonest ...? Just a thought.
