At the beginning of the 2006 NFL Season, who did you see winning Super Bowl XLI and do you believe that team has a chance of winning Super Bowl XLII in 2008?
At the beginning of the 2006 NFL Season, I predicted that the Detroit Lions would win Super Bowl XLI and for the 2007 season, I do not see the Lions making the postseason or winning Super Bowl XLII in 2008.

I must admit, I got caught in the Panthers hype. True, I am a Panthers fan and may have been biased, but I believed the analysts when they said that they would go all the way.
I think that the Panthers will be a legitimate playoff threat in the 07 season, probably making it to the NFC championship. However, to think that they could go farther would just be blind optimism, given their unenthusiastic playing in 06.

Wow, Lions and Browns. That's going out on a limb! You should've put a dollar or two down on that, because if it had actually happened, you'd get a pretty big return. Anyhow, don't feel so bad. My pick was the Broncos defeating the Panthers, and neither one of those teams made the playoffs. Right now, I'm saying Indianapolis and New Orleans, with Peyton Manning and the Colts defeating his dad's old team. Interestingly, if that matchup occurs, it will be the first Super Bowl in which both participants were "dome" teams.

I picked the Colts and the Eagles at the beginning of 2006.
Next year just for the heck of it, Colts SuperBowl Champs 2007.
BTW: The SuperBowl in '08 is in the '07 season

Actually I had picked Denver to win the Super Bowl(over Dallas).
As for 2008, unless they get a much better defensive front, and a quality tailback, then no.

i'm a little bias because i am a colts fan from start to finish, so i pick the colts every year.
this question would be good for people who are neutral and dont have a fav team...all you're pretty much gonna get are people's fav teams, cuz we all believe our team will win the big one.
mine did this year! and will next year!
