This is due for wednesday feb 7 at night but not sure how to: Show the reaction of 4-phenylphenol with KOH. Indicate which layer (aqueous or organic) each component in the reaction will mainly reside in.

C6H5-C6H4-OH + KOH ===> C6H5-C6H4-O- + K+ + H2O

Your question is incomplete, but one would expect the 4-phenylphenol to be in the organic layer, and the potassium salt in the aqueous layer.
