What is romantic? I've seen suggestions such "serve a romantic food," "put on romantic music," and "wear something romantic." What do you mean by this? I'd like to do something "romantic" for my wife, since it seems that's what she wants, but I'm a smidge to pragmatic to really understand this concept except as it applies to the sweeping, grandiose things that I can't afford. I mean, in a perfect world, I'd arrange for two weeks of childcare and sweep her away on a cruise to the Bahamas, where we could renew our wedding vows and snuggle in a hammock on a secluded seashore. But that costs about $5,000. So, what are the little things I can do to show my affection, and put some "romance" in the air?

What is something "decent" to wear? Wife doesn't like suits and ties.
Foot rub is getting almost common-place. Not enough room in the tub for one, much less two. I cook more often than she does, and I do the dishes more often.
That said, I'm trying to find a new and unique way of telling her how special she is too me. She needs it. She just turned 30, and she doesn't realize how beautiful she is. She still gets carded when she goes to get me cigarettes! And she's a size 6!

Have a dinner alone (even if the kids are home but already put to bed...just pretend you don't have any!) A bubble bath together is always good (especially if you throw in a foot rub too) Get some silk sheets and put rose petals on the bed and have candles lit. The music part depends on what you and your wife like but just make sure it isn't too loud. Maybe have some chocolate covered strawberries to feed her and champagne if you guys drink. Trust me you will score some major points with her.

You should get in the habit of sending short and sweet "I Love You" emails throughout the day in big red letters "thinking of you" stuff like that.. email poems to her... You can also leave little notes around where only she will find them, like the sun visor in her car.. in her purse... Finding a little love note there is sweet and fun... pour two glasses of red wine and dim the lights.. put on the fireplace.. and soft music... if she asks what's the occasion, tell her you have a surprise for her and surprise her with a gift like a bracelet (doesn't have to be too expensive), and make sure it's wrapped.. Get familiar with restaurants in your town that are romantic places... usually the ones with the dim lights and candle light.. and the piano player...start going to those.. hug her from behind and start kissing her neck out of nowhere.. always hold hands or have your arm around her... there are so many "little" things you can do...

or hang the hammock in the house (personally, I would substitute the hammock for a love swing) lots of candles, rose petals, lindor truffles, jewlery, dinner--send the child to grandma's, Marvin Gaye on the cd player and Barry White. Or take her to the local motel with the window facing the exit ramp and have sex in the window.

Do the dishes after she cooks a meal, rub her feet while you watch a movie....tell her shes beautiful and you want to take a shower with her. Set up a date, get a sitter for the kids. Suprise her with roses(or fav flower)take her to an adult place to eat and stare at her because shes so pretty.

How about finding someone to take care of the kids for a night, making her a nice little dinner, lighting some candles, putting on soft and slow music, and just eating you and her alone.

The most romantic time I had is a couple days ago. The hubby had a surprise for me. It was a rhw swing he bought on ebay.
I did not think I was one to like a sex swing but it was the best experiance I ever had. Our relationship is better than ever.

cook something for your wife something that she would enjoy
