Can I make a living out of it? Most say Not a good living.

It's a frustrating field, surely you've heard the term "starving artist." I don't recommend going into fine arts (painting portaits for a living) unless you're extremely good, have a lot of passion and ambition. If you're going more down the line of commercial arts such as a graphic designer, production artist, etc then it can be a very rewarding field if you're talented, ambitious, patient, and have great networking skills. It's tough to say, some make it, some don't. Have some specific goals, know what you do best and refine it as much as you can, get out there and get us much experience as you can and you'll do well.

just kidding, you tell us. What did you learn? How can you apply it? If you do not know than either its not the right major and you should not waste the time Or it WAS a bad major and you WASTED your time. Can you do any kind of education? can you use it to work in museums or maybe poster design companies or maybe architects office?
