My great times six grandfather Josiah Henson was an escaped slave upon whom Harriet Beecher Stowe based her character Uncle Tom in Uncle Tom's Cabin. He excaped from slavery and ran away to Canada where he set up a freed slave community and organize rescue efforts to go back into the United States and free other slaves. A very cool guy.
