Some species of whales are much bigger than Whale Sharks. The Blue Whale can grow up to 27 meters, when a whale shark will only grow to about 12 meters. The Blue whale is the larges creature ever to inhabit the earth. even bigger than a dinosaur. Whales are mammals while whale sharks are a fish

A blue whale is MUCH bigger than a whale shark, and i think a whale shark is the smallest whale on offer!!!

There are many species of whale from porpoises to blue whales. Whale sharks are bigger than the porpoises, dolphins, pilot whales, narwhals, beluga whales, killer whales and pygmy sperm whales with only the sperm whale of the toothed whales being larger. Of the baleen whales, the pygmy right whale and the minke whale are smaller than the whale shark but the rest are bigger.

The whale shark is the largest shark, however it is not as big as a blue whale.

Interestingly, these two titans both grow to such enormous size eating some of the smallest ocean creatures. They are filter feeders, sifting the water for such tiny morsels as plankton.
