Yes, I have to agree. Because if your the type of person that I am, I want it right here and now. But if I cant have it because I cant afford it, then well, I have to get over it. But, when I finally, get the chance to get it, I don't want it anymore. That is unless its from Starbucks.

No- Wanting for material things is a type of mental bondage which burns like fire for many people. We have to give up this material want or desire if we want to be actually peaceful. Sometimes having is good if one knows how to utilize the thing they have. Everything is actually supposed to be used in the service of God also known as Krishna Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. That is called Devotional Service or Bhakti Yoga. That makes one peaceful not wanting or having. go to harekrishnatemple.c for how to give up all hankering and lamenting for things. Read Bhagavad Gita As it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells the purpose and utility of everything.

Yes. when i get something i dont appreciate it any more. Hope is a great thing - its exciting and gives you something to look forward to.
thats why rich people are so bored - they dont have anything left to want.
the things in life that make me truly happy are moments in time; a laugh with your collegues, a shared romantic moment with your lover, receiving a gift or letter from a friend you thought had forgotten you, a stranger doing something for you that warms your heart. These are the things that truly matter.

Everything you want is not everything you need.

If you want something that you don't need then you will yearn harder for what you want rather than being happy with what you already have. You will overlook the little things that make you happy while you are concentrating so hard on what you want.

Wanting is that something you're longing for it and hope to own it,
but once it has been in your possession then realized that it is not
your needs so neglect the possession, don't you think that it's a
waste of your longing for. Sometime things are so contradicted .

Depend on what issues are. Sometimes its a feel good to feel wanting than having. Sometimes it is not good to feel wanting than having. False hopes vs. Reality hopes.

I don't think so.

If I want something but can't then it is horrble.
If I have it then I'm happy.

It's a case of appreciating what you have and not taking it for granted.
