Can having PROTECTED SEX WITH CONDOMS delay your period? My last period started on December 31, 2006, and I have not gotten it this month. I took a pregnancy test, and it came out negative.

Having protected sex will not delay your period.

There are no chemicals in a condom that would delay your period, unless they somehow laced condoms with birth control chemicals.

Also, you may want to watch for that. If you had protected sex and now you are late no your period, you may have gotten pregnant, condoms can rip, tear, or leak in any manner of ways.

Regardless of what people might tell you, protected sex is not safe sex. The only 100% effective and safe condom is abstinence.

I would advise you to go get tested for pregnancy under the circumstances that you described.

No, as far as I know as long as you have not been "fertilized" with a sperm or are on the pill, your period cannot be delayed accidently. The most probable explanation is that your menstral cycle is going through an irregular phase; this may be especially true if you are young and your period has recently started. I am no doctor however, so contact your her or make a short trip to an urgent care facility if it keeps bugging you. Only your physician has the answer.

If it came on that date as you stated then you should have one again on january 26 if you have a 28 days cycle or on january 29 if you have a 31 days cycle, at times climatic changes can cause delay with your period, so if you always protect your self then there should be nothing for you to fear.

I know that the first time I had sex it threw my period way off; it was about a week late. Don't stress about it; it will only make your period come later. If you haven't had your period in a week test again. If it still comes up negative, go to a doc to see what is up, as there could be something wrong.

No it cannot make you miss your period if your wearing a condom unless the condom broke and he cummed in you at all or any pre-*** got inside of you. If you took a test after a week of being late then your probably not pregnant and need to talk to a doctor, but if you are stressing about it that can make you late, I have done that before and it made me a week late, goodluck!

It should not have an affected on your cycle unless one of your eggs was fertilized during ovulation. Give it a couple of days then retest. Make sure to follow the instructions on the pregnancy test exactly to avoid tainting the sample because it might give you a false negative.

Unlikely, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Emotional upheaval, illness, real close, prolonged proximity to other women could.
