If so.. I reckon Atlanta should play down and get number 1 pick - Greg Oden. After all, Phoenix gets Atlanta's pick in 2007 hahahaha Lol

No they dont't. Unlike the NFL having the worst record doesn't mean you get the number one pick in the NBA draft. A team could lose on purpose and end up with the 4th pick. Losing out on a greg oden or kevin durant. Playing down would only make a team lose out on fans and money and not guarentee an top draft pick.

I think some teams might. I feel Philly might do that, because they aren't much without Iverson, so why not get Oden or Durant to go with the new AI.

hmm good question. maybe towards the second half of the season when they know there is absolutely no way they can reach the playoffs they will just give up in order to get the pick. i dont think all bottom placed teams think that way because there is a lot of pride among coaches and athletes, but i wouldnt rule it out!

It depends. But even with their horrible season, they can't always get their picks. If the team still has a chance to go to the playoffs, definitely not. But if their hopes of going to the playoffs is going to be demolished, why try?
