I overheard a Embark repairman tell a service station guy, that he had 15 days to call a certain number to block telemarketers, and the telemarketers would be getting a list of all the cell phone numbers of everybody and if they called you, you would be billed for the call. any body else know of this?

Cell phones are still protected from telemarketers because we would have to pay for the call. If you happen to get a call from a telemarketer on your cell, tell them you want their name, address, and the name, address of the company they work for because they have violated FCC regulations by calling a cell phone number. The rumor about this has been on the internet for quite a while, here is the true story: http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/cell411.asp

Cell phone numbers can be added to the Do Not Call list (www.DoNotCall.gov).

For most cell phones, you pay for incoming calls.

If I don't recognize the incoming phone number, I don't pick it up. If it's important, they will leave a message.
