I am in my second year in collage here in Minnesota. I took Financail Accounting 1, got A in it...Now I am taking Managerial acounting and Collage Algebra....but I realize that I am not goot at math..so I am worried that I am making a mistake, taking the wrong major....I am thinking to change it,,, any suggestions would be fine... I am confused!!!

Accounting is more transactionally based that is moving numbers around a ledger and although I am not an accountant not really that Math intensive.

However, most accountants do way more than that along the lines of financial analysis that does require a good understanding of Math.

Why give up though - get help from classmates or your teachers. You seem to like it - then get through the tough stuff and you will fee good about it. Can't quit just because something is hard!

No, you don't have to be good at math. It sounds like you have the basic math required for accounting. College algebra doesn't have much at all to do with accounting. Management accounting, and Intermediate accounting get into present value formulas and basic algebra (solving for a variable), but not really pure math. Once you get into Advanced accounting, and more advanced Management Accounting, it will become more theoretical.
