movie ratings could sometimes be so retarded. I've seen the movie and I'm pretty sure a 7yr how can take it. The kid will most likely be interested in the cordiography than anything else. Plus if he does have some questions relevant to some scenes in the movie you can explain it to the kid....i mean after all they have to learn it some day. So yes I say it is appropiate. Not much violence and plus it is about going from the streets to COLLEGE. So it gives a good messege to young kids out there right?
So yeah APPROPIATE!

I saw it, and I wouldnt let my 7 year old watch it. In fact, I wouldnt let anyone watch it, it was terrible...
