You need to look for Ganzfeld studies, remote viewing and anticipating negative stimuli. Metzger (c.1930) pioneered the study of ESP. The most modern research I can think of off the top of my head is Radin (1997, 2006). Richard Wiseman and Chris French are also noted in the field of parapsychology.
