NO!! It's one of the most exploited website there is. Where most predators goes there and fished underage children into disguisting sexual fantasy for these disgusting perverted adults.

I have seen dateline and yes it is scary. However, myspace can be safe for your 14 yr. old if you set boundaries. Her space can be private and should be. Only people she knows should be on her friend list. There is an option to block people from contacting her. Pictures should be kept to a minimum and nothing sensual. Set the account up yourself. Take the time to go through everything and make the password yourself. If she wants on it then you log her in. Set a time limit for her to be on there. If you are willing to give it a try then your daughter should appreciate your concern, if she doesn't then she is not mature enough to have one yet.

Take this from someone who has a myspace account
Myspace isnt as bad as people make it sound out to be:
U chose ur friends on myspace
She should have one everyone of her friends have one she wants to fit in let her have one just make her show u it every wednesday or something but honestly my parents check mine all the time and they are fine with it let her have a myspace account it isnt that bad really

NOOOOOOO!!!! Myspace is a free site, which means that ANYONE can get on there and create a page pretending to be whoever they want. There is no way to know who is on the other end of the computer "chatting" with your 14 year old. Do you watch Dateline? Have you seen the series they do called "to catch a predator"? If not, I suggest you watch it.

For me, I'd say no way. I'm 14, and I know that that is not a safe site. Unless she were to not give away any real information, then don't let her get one. Or, if you do, monitor her myspace page extremely carefully. She may whine or complain, but it's for her own good to either not let her have one, or look at it very frequently.

Yeah I dont think that it isnt safe. It is safe if u make it that way. Myspace is a friend place. Yea my mom had a hard time telling my I couldnt have it i kept it. You pick your friends, u can have everyone see it or just ur friends....you shoud let ur duaghter have it just tell her not to talk to anyone u dont know...
