A "Stop the Hate" chapter at my University is getting heat because they are calling their current project, "I Ain't No Hater". Many (white) students and faculty have claimed that people will be turned-off by a "such a blatantly offensive ebonics term". I am trying to argue that, if that is true, they are making the very assumptions that the organization is fighting against -- and that this fact should be used as a tool to expand on the project and have that very discussion. Any ammo for me?
